SICK SOCIETY

I can feel it,
I follows me,
Some days more often than others,
Its  name is death.
I try to ignore but its shadow is so alive.

Suzy Kassem once stated that “The most dangerous people in the world are not the tiny minority instigating evil acts, but those who do the acts for them. For example, when the British invaded India, many Indians accepted to work for the British to kill off Indians who resisted their occupation. So in other words, many Indians were hired to kill other Indians on behalf of the enemy for a paycheck. Today, we have mercenaries in Africa, corporate armies from the western world, and unemployed men throughout the Middle East killing their own people - and people of other nations - for a paycheck. To act without a conscience, but for a paycheck, makes anyone a dangerous animal. The devil would be powerless if he couldn't entice people to do his work. So as long as money continues to seduce the hungry, the hopeless, the broken, the greedy, and the needy, there will always be war between brothers.”

If we believe that we live in a healthy society then we ourselves are sicker than society itself. We wake up each morning saying we are going to work to make a living. Our institutions brainwash our mind-set by planting a seed that our jobs contribute to the greater good of society. As you knock off you are as drained as a mine worker and the first thing you see is an irritating "para" those that follow you around for money for food. Your mind immediately switches from neutral to devious, wishing you could swear him away. We are constantly faced with hopelessness and are unable to return it to its greater function. That "para" is at its worst and is acting out of need, yet your mind is too enslaved to self assurance, you respond without thinking about the next person.

We are social slaves working to dig our graves and the government that serves us is doing a good job in ensuring a successful send off by providing power that enables oppression. We live in a society where we are treated as objects without feelings, dignity and knowledge.  We remain submissive to the power structures who are the creators, possessors, and dispensers of all necessary resources. Even then, we are never satisfied, because death which resides inside us while we live is the greatest loss of all.

You don't even need to look around you to see social destruction, just think of how many emotions you feel each day. We discuss and look down on each other, giving them too much power over our minds and yet we think we are in control. Now how sick are we...
